About Me

I’m licensed as both an Occupational Therapist and an Acupuncturist because I believe in the power of integrated medicine to address many kinds of health issues, harnessing the combined power of evidence-based, scientific practice with thousands of years of tradition, and individualized treatments.

I’ve worked in a variety of settings, from pediatric hospitals to the school system to nursing facilities. I’ve been moved by the life-changing improvements people can make at all ages, whether it’s learning to walk for the first time after years of breathing through a ventilator, restoring joint stability and mobility to perform at your best, or just navigating the challenges of a tough day at school.

I love to facilitate these sorts of changes and that’s why I am constantly striving to improve my knowledge and treatment skills. For clients dealing with Sensory Processing Disorders, I am Level 1 Certified by the STAR institute. For clients dealing with acute and chronic muscle pains, I’m certified in dry needling treatment. I also have extensive clinical experience in treating neurological disorders including stroke and traumatic brain injuries.

I’ve also created a series of wellness products including herbal teas to help people apply principles from Traditional Chinese Medicine in their nutrition and daily life. I’m certified in the first level of medicinal cooking by The Japanese and Chinese Medicinal Food and Medicine Society (和漢薬膳食医学会) and am able to provide my clients with advice on how to eat a balanced diet based on their specific needs.
